Dior Addict - Not for the faint of heart. But I think I love it for that reason!
Goodness, this smaller 1.7oz bottle is hard to find. Tried about 3 stores and finally found it. And now the story...I was reading reviews last night at Makeupalley and a review about this scent caught my eye on the main page. After reading the words "sex in a bottle," that set off the lightbulb. Then I browsed the rest of the reviews for this scent. 438 reviews averaging 4 stars. Oh come on, seriously? And every other lady had a similar verdict, around the lines of "sexy," "sex in a bottle," "intense." Sooo...my quest for today was to track a bottle down to find out for myself. Macy's here is sold out. Nordstrom only had the big bottle. Sephora, big bottle as well. Come on, help a gal out! I just want a small bottle for godsake. Finally another Macy's had one last 1.7oz in the display case. Sold. Spritzed. And...This scent is frekn POTENT AS SHIT. I had to turn my head away for a sec. My word. Do not even think of going spray happy with this one, people around you will hate you. But it is true what the reviews said--the first 20 minutes or so, even you won't be able to stand yourself. Lol. Give it time. After an hour, it mellows out and softens up into a woodsy grown-up vanilla symphony kind of thing; sorry I'm not up to speed on my perfumology. But thank God it's only the initial whiff that bites. So note to self, spritz and hour before leaving house, and on skin only. Don't be spraying this on your clothes because it will smell totally different. For those who can't stand the scent of vanilla or iterations thereof, steer clear. This is not one for the fun and flirty DG Light Blue or Ralph by RL gals. This is a very grown up, dark, heavy, mysterious scent. Definitely something Red-carpet and diamonds worthy. And I'm willing to ride that train.I'm enjoying the dry-down as I type, my wrist is smelling very pretty. This scent smells like it will last for days. You know, I've read somewhere that guys find vanilla irresistable, almost an aphrodisiac. Well let me tell you, this stuff is IT, in a beautiful dark blue bottle. To say it bluntly, if you're on a date and want to get laid, look no further.You've been warned.
